Record a voice message for your loved ones

Pastvoice is a UK digital legacy service that will allow you to record a personal voice message for your family or someone close to you to hear after your death.
You could leave a message to be played at a future wedding, graduation, milestone birthday or another important occasion.

Although you may no longer be there in person, the people you love will still be able to hear your voice and the words you wanted to share with them.

Leave a message for the future

You will be able to record a personal message lasting up to five minutes. Your recording will be stored securely, with instructions explaining how to access it kept alongside your UK will.

After your death, your executors will be able to pass the recording to the person you have chosen. You can ask for it to be shared straight away or saved for a particular date or family occasion in the future.

Before we accept a recording, it will be listened to confidentially by a member of the Pastvoice team. This is to check that it is a genuine personal message and suitable for the service.

You will be able to change or replace your recording at any time for a small fee.

Record your life story

Pastvoice also plans to offer longer recordings of up to ten minutes. These can be used to talk about your life, preserve family memories or share stories that might otherwise be lost.

You might want to talk about your childhood, family, career, travels or the events that shaped your life. Your recording could become a lasting keepsake for your children, grandchildren and future generations.

It is your story, told in your own words and your own voice.

A voice they will always remember

Photographs and written memories are important, but there is something especially personal about hearing the voice of someone you love.

A Pastvoice recording can preserve your voice, your personality and your memories, giving your family something they can return to for years to come.

Pastvoice gift vouchers

Pastvoice gift vouchers will also be available. They could make a thoughtful present for a friend or family member who would like to record a message for their loved ones or preserve part of their life story.

Who can use Pastvoice?

To use Pastvoice, you must:

• Be a UK resident or a UK national.


• Already have a valid UK will.


• Arrange for the Pastvoice access instructions to be kept with your will.

Pastvoice is a UK service and will operate under UK law.

Pastvoice is launching in 2027

We are currently building the Pastvoice platform and plan to launch the service in 2027.
